Mix oatmeal (a combination of fine and medium set is best) with a pinch of salt, a pinch of baking soda, and a little flour.

Add melted butter or dripping and just enough hot water to bring the mixture together into a stiff dough.

Roll out on a surface dusted with oatmeal to about 3mm thick.

Cut into rounds or triangles and place on a baking sheet.
