Dairy

  • Milk → Oat/almond/coconut milk (1:1)
  • Butter → Coconut oil or olive oil (3/4 amount)
  • Heavy cream → Full-fat coconut cream
  • Sour cream → Greek yogurt (1:1)

Eggs

  • 1 egg → 1 tbsp ground flax + 3 tbsp water (wait 5 min)
  • 1 egg → 1/4 cup applesauce
  • 1 egg → 1/2 mashed banana

Flour

  • All-purpose → 1:1 gluten-free blend
  • Breadcrumbs → Crushed crackers or oats
  • Cornstarch → Arrowroot (1:1)

Sweeteners

  • Sugar → Honey (3/4 amount)
  • Brown sugar → White sugar + 1 tbsp molasses/cup

Acids & Flavor

  • Lemon juice → Lime juice or white wine vinegar
  • Wine → Broth + splash of vinegar
  • Soy sauce → Coconut aminos
